Unity Books is an independent New Zealand bookstore with locations in Wellington and Auckland. My team rebuilt their e-commerce platform, creating a modern storefront that seamlessly connects with their physical stores. We developed a backend system to sync real-time inventory across all locations and channels, ensuring a smooth operational experience.
I contributed to both frontend and backend development. On the frontend, I added advanced search and filter features using Algolia on the "Shop All" page to improve product discovery and user experience.
On the backend, I assisted with developing the inventory sync system between Unity Books’ system and Shopify. I used AWS tools like DynamoDB for data storage, S3 for file handling, and Lambda functions for automated processing. This integration ensures real-time inventory accuracy across both physical and online stores.
